Why I built Refresh Skin.
I trained in Cosmetology in India and spent the first half of my career in clinics where the standard of work was the only thing that mattered. When I came to Australia six years ago, I joined the system most clinics in this country use — corporate-owned, multi-location, high-throughput.
I learned a lot about why those clinics struggle.
Practitioners rotate every six to twelve months. The senior ones leave because the volume targets are unrealistic. The juniors stay long enough to be trained, then move on. The client who started a pigmentation plan with me in March is, by September, sitting in front of someone who has never seen her skin before — being told something different about what to do next.
The skin doesn't get better. The client gets confused. The clinic just keeps booking.
I built Refresh Skin so I could practise without that machinery. One practitioner, eight assessments a week, no walk-ins, no rotating staff, no volume bonuses tied to selling packages. The person who knows your skin today is the person who treats it next year. That is the whole point.
